The Upper Clutha Youth workforce are looking for team supervisors this cherry picking season.

If successful, you will receive:   A full weeks paid training for your position.   Good remuneration

Your position will entail driving a minibus from your home each day and picking up a group of up to 10 youths to take to a cherry orchard to commence picking at 6am. You will need to be contactable and flexible at all times during your working days. Weather will dictate changes and it will then be your duty to liaise with your group of youths via WhatsApp. You will drop the youths back in the afternoon and usually picking will end at 3pm.

You will be supervising and supporting youth throughout the day and giving feedback on their progress to them and orchard team leaders and managers.

This position is considered an essential worker role. If the event of any COVID 19 level changes you will continue to work in your bus bubble whilst maintaining appropriate protocols dictated by whatever level you are at.

Experience in orchard work would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given. Experience of working with youth would also be beneficial.

You need to be available to start training on 29th November and the following week you will be cherry picking before the youth start on Wednesday 15th December.
From 20th December you will be working a 4 day week driving the youth until the season finishes around the end of January.
You must be available to work until the end of the season.
