Senior Sergeant Fiona Roberts joined me on the show today, and we had quite the chat about all things Wānaka and beyond. She filled us in on the closing of Treble Cone (TC) for the season—good news there as everyone was on their best behavior on the slopes. Over the weekend, though, more than 3,000 drivers were pulled over for roadside testing, and some of the readings were pretty high. Not great news, as nobody wants intoxicated drivers endangering our roads.

And get this—a grenade was handed in at Wastebusters! Thankfully, it wasn't live, but even so, it's the kind of thing that gives you chills just thinking about what could have happened. Just a reminder, if you need the Wānaka Police, dial 111 for emergencies and 105 for those non-urgent situations. Stay safe out there, everyone!
