We were thrilled to have Finn Thomsson and Zoe Raffills, two inspiring students from Mount Aspiring College, join Jack on the Radio Wānaka Breakfast Show to talk about their innovative business, Plant Attire.

As part of a Level 3 enterprise group, Finn and Zoe, along with their classmates, set out on a mission to create an environmentally friendly product. Their business, Plant Attire, repurposes old tyres donated by Highlands into stylish planter boxes that can be used in gardens.

But Plant Attire is more than just a business; it’s a community-driven project. They’ve partnered with the Mint Trust, an organization that supports students with intellectual disabilities. Through this collaboration, the students from Mint Trust have had the opportunity to contribute their creative talents to the design of the planters, making each one unique and special.

In addition to their commitment to sustainability and community, Finn and Zoe are dedicated to giving back. Plant Attire is donating 15% of its profits to the Mint Trust, further supporting the incredible work they do.

We’re proud to see such young entrepreneurs making a positive impact in our community. If you’re looking to add some greenery to your garden while supporting a great cause, be sure to check out Plant Attire!
