Senior Sergeant Darren Cranfield joined us again this week for our regular Crime Line update, giving us a snapshot of what’s been happening around Wānaka.
One concern has been packages going missing – a timely reminder for locals to be careful with online deliveries, especially as we head toward the busy season. Police encourage residents to arrange secure drop-off locations or collect items directly where possible.
Darren also spoke about driver behaviour on our roads, noting that too many motorists are forgetting the basics. From failing to give way, to speeding through areas that need caution, he says a bit more patience and courtesy would go a long way in keeping everyone safe.
As always, the message is clear: look out for your community, respect the road rules, and report anything suspicious.
